Bursting Strength Tester digital model is a very accurate instrument for the measurement of bursting strength of corrugated boxes and paper by manufacturers and suppliers. It has a two in one feature of calculating bursting factor of both paper and corrugated boxes under one single head. This instrument provides the user with accurate values and is very successful in terms of precision and quality.
This instrument adheres to all industry standards and has a digital LED display. It has a special feature of rapid result transmission. The diagram of this instrument is lab grade which further enhances the precision. Bursting strength of test specimen is expressed in terms of Kg/cm².
The bursting factor can be calculated by the following formula
Bursting factor = bursting strength / Grammage
The working principle of the Bursting Strength Tester Digital is based on the hydrostatic pressure mechanism. The instrument consists of two clamps for the positioning of the specimen. The sample is placed between the clamps and firmly clamped to ensure accurate results. Now, the machine forces pressure onto the specimen with the help of the neoprene rubber situated where the specimen is placed. The neoprene rubber exerts pressure in a diaphragm motion due to the presence of glycerine beneath the rubber acting as a medium. Once the specimen bursts, the highest bursting value is recorded and indicated on the digital meter attached to the machinery.
